When Nichole & Buddy Popp founded The CBD Shop in 2017 it was their mission to provide the community, in South Louisiana, with access to cannabis based products from Hemp in a clean and comfortable environment. They wanted people to understand how cannabis works within the body. They knew they would never end the stigma against cannabis in this highly conservative area without shops to provide information on products, how they work, and recommendations on how to use them. The Popps launched their retail location of The CBD Shop Mandeville in March of 2018. In June 2018 they opened a second location in Downtown Covington and in November 2019, The CBD Shop announced their 3rd location in Denham Springs.
